The president of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has dispelled doubts about Ghanaians who reside within the Upper Manya Krobo municipality, which is that COVID vaccines could alter their preferences for their party during elections.
According to Akufo-Addo, the vaccines won’t force them to decide to support the NPP to keep them in power, if they don’t want to support them.
He urged them to show into their groups to get the vaccines, as it can help safeguard them and their families.
“Let me state, as clearly as I can. The vaccines are safe. They will not harm you. They will not harm you. They will protect you and your family. Contrary to the mischief being peddled by some, getting vaccinated will not cause you to vote for the NPP in the 2024 elections, if you do not want to,” he said.
The President made this statement during his in his 27th update on the pandemic on the 17th of December 2021, a Wednesday night.
