Current Black Stars Team Is Not Competitive – Godwin Attram

Ex-Ghana international forward Godwin Attram has deemed the current Black Star team uncompetitive when compared to previous teams.

Ghana put up its worst performance at a World Cup when it played bottom of its group in the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup held in Qatar losing to Portugal and Uruguay and winning against the Republic of Korea.

Earlier in 2022 the Black Stars had exited the 33rd edition of the AFCON held in Cameroun at the group face with a single point.

Godwin Attram noted that there are players based in the country who should be a part of the Black Stars squad but are unable to make it due to their weak mentality.

He adds that the call-ups have become competitive because all the players are invited from Europe and that it is the players based in Ghana who giving themselves problems.

Godwin Attram made ten appearances and scored one goal for the Black Stars from 1997 to 2006.
