Dafne Schippers is a Dutch athlete who participates in Track & Field, Sprints, and Heptathlon. Dafne won silver in the 200m women’s sprint at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is also the world’s third fastest female sprinter in the 200m.
In 2012, she was invited to compete in the famous heptathlon Hypo-Meeting in Götzis (Austria), where she finished fifth. She also competed in the 2012 European Athletics Championships in Helsinki (Finland). She finished fifth in the 200 meters.
She had won her heat in 23.01 and had the quickest semi-final time of 22.70. The Dutch 4x100m relay team (Kadene Vassell, Schippers, Eva Lubbers, and Samuel) finished second in 42.80, a national record, behind the German team.
