Dafne Schippers Siblings: Derek Schippers, Sanne Schippers

Dafne Schippers is a Dutch track and field athlete. She was born on June 15, 1992. She used to compete in the heptathlon but now mostly competes in the sprints. She won silver in the 200 meters at the 2016 Summer Olympics and is the 2015 and 2017 World Champion.

Schippers is the sixth-fastest female overall over 200 meters, holding the European record with a run of 21.63 seconds. She shares the record for the 4 x 100 m relay as well as the 100 m national record.

Derek Schippers and Sanne Schippers were born in Utrecht, Netherlands to a psychologist named  Karin Schippers and an elementary school teacher named Ernst Schippers. Although they began training for sports at an early age like their sister, the two have since pursued different paths outside of sports.
