Born Dannie Scott Goeb, Dan Goeb Patrick is a television broadcaster, radio talk show host and politician.
He was born on 4 April 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. Dan grew up in a blue-collar neighborhood of East Baltimore.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. This made him the first person from his family to graduate from college.
Patrick changed his name from “Dannie Scott Goeb” to “Dan Goeb Patrick” after graduating from college in honor of his wife’s family and brother-in-law.

Dan Patrick is the only child of Charles Anthony Goeb and Vilma Jean Marshall.
Both Charles and Vilma are said to have been born somewhere in 1926. Charles Goeb worked as a newspaper vendor for thirty-one years at The Baltimore Sun. He died in 2002.
Nothing much is known about Vilma, it is however known that she passed away in 2016.
