Dana Perino Parents: Leo Perino, Jan Perino

Dana Marie Perino was born on 9 May 1972 in Evanston, Wyoming. She is an American author and political commentator.

She has served as the 26th White House Press Secretary under President George Walker Bush, being the second female to hold the office after Dee Dee Myers.

Perino went to Ponderosa High School in Parker for her high school education; she then went to earn a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and minors in political science and Spanish from the Colorado State University-Pueblo.

She has a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield.

Perino worked for WCIA, a CBS affiliate, as a daily reporter and then as the press secretary for Rep. Dan Schaefer for nearly four years. She also worked as a spokesperson for the Department of Justice.
