American businessman and billionaire David Gottesman has died aged 96.
Gottesman is a co-founder of First Manhattan Company and an early investor in Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway.
David was born into a Jewish family in New York and was the nephew of Samuel Gottesman, a pulp-paper merchant, financier, and philanthropist.
He attended Trinity College where he earned his bachelor’s degree and went to earn his Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard University.
He died on Wednesday 28 September 2022 in Rye, New York.
