Kate Garraway has revealed that her husband, Derek Draper is still spending time in hospital after being admitted to an intensive care unit following a “life-threatening” sepsis.
After spending the previous two weeks providing care for her spouse, who is still in the hospital after fighting for his life, the Good Morning Britain host returned to the ITV daily program on Monday. She revealed that even though he is out of danger now, he is still awaiting another procedure.
“Unfortunately, his kidneys were really badly infected, blocked, and the challenge now is to save them. So, that’s where we’ve been for the last three weeks. One kidney is looking really good. We just need to look at the other one. He is still in high dependency.”
She also went on to her Instagram account to thank her fans and loved ones for their support through her tough times.
“Thank you so so much for all your messages of support – they really do mean the world to me & the whole family.”
