American rapper, Sean Love Combs, known professionally as Diddy is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s BET Awards.
From owning a music television network and a clothing line, Diddy has built one of the biggest empires in Hip-Hop history. The rapper has therefore earned one of the biggest honors in Black Entertainment history as he will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award later this month.
The 52-year-old and founder of Bad Boys Records boast of 3 Grammy awards and has worked with the biggest names you can imagine in the music industry — from Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, Notorious B.I.G, Mary J. Blige and more.
Apart from his clothing line dubbed Sean John, Diddy also has his own brand of Vodka and his music network called Revolt Tv.
“Diddy has always been a pioneering force in our community, breaking barriers, achieving unprecedented heights, blazing new trails, and, in so doing, raising the bar for all of us,” BET CEO Scott Mills said in a statement
