Donna Vekic was born on 28 June 1996 in Osijek, Croatia.
She is a Croatian professional tennis player and businesswoman.
The 2014 Malaysian Open, the 2017 Nottingham Open, and the 2021 Courmayeur Ladies Open are the three WTA Tour singles titles she has won.
On the ITF Circuit, she has won five singles titles and one doubles title. She reached her career-high singles ranking of world number 19 on 4 November 2019.
Vekic is a member of the Croatian Fed Cup team.
Donna who turned professional in 2012, and is coached by Luka Kutanjac, is described as an aggressive baseliner with powerful first serves.
Her performance at the 2019 US Open was her best ever at a Grand Slam singles event. She reached the quarterfinals of that event.
