He played for the college team at Ohio State, where he was awarded the Sammy Baugh Trophy and was named MVP at the 2019 Rose Bowl during his sophomore year.
He initially enrolled at Maryland’s University of Maryland over Rutgers University to play in the college football league, however, he later chose to attend Ohio State University after Maryland football coach Randy Edsall was fired mid-season.
Haskins was a player with the NFL for the Washington Redskins / Washington Football Team, as well as for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dwayne Haskins died on Saturday morning, April 9, 2022, at the age of 24 after being hit by a dump truck while walking on a South Florida highway.
The accident happened around 6:37 a.m. on I-595 West at the I-95 interchange outside Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Haskins was killed in the accident, but officials did not reveal why he was walking on the highway, said Lt. Indiana Miranda, highway patrol spokeswoman.
“He was just walking on the highway and got hit,” Miranda said.
The driver “is in full cooperation” with the investigation, she told The Post.
