Eddie Driscoll, a seasoned character actor known for his appearances in various TV shows and films, has passed away at the age of 60.
Born in New York in 1963, Driscoll graduated from Lenape Valley Regional High School in Stanhope, New Jersey, in 1981. He pursued his passion for acting by studying at the University of Miami and later engaged in an apprenticeship program at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Driscoll notably appeared in films starring Reynolds, including “Physical Evidence” and “Breaking In” in 1989. He also featured on two of Reynolds’ TV shows— “B.L. Stryker” in 1990 and “Evening Shade” in 1990, ’91, and ’93.
Outside of acting, Driscoll served as a host at Dimples in Burbank for over two decades and later at the Fox Fire Room in Valley Village. A celebration of his life was held at the Fox Fire in January.
Among his notable film roles are appearances in “Lansky” (1999), “Boat Trip” (2002), “Pavement” (2002), “Cellular” (2004), and “Blast” (2004). It’s worth noting that Driscoll’s brother, Danny, also preceded him in death.
