Sad news from Egypt has it that a coach died shortly after he collapsed while celebrating his team’s win in the last minute.
The coach named Adham El-Selhedar was reported to burst into a spontaneous celebration following the fact that his squad El-Magd SC secured a dramatic final-minute victory over Al-Zarka during a second-tier soccer match.
The Alexandria-based club was kept to a 0-0 draw, but they scored in the 92nd second minute of the match, which sent the players and coaches into wild celebrations in the report, which was made on the internet by KingFut.
But, during the celebration, El-Selhedar collapsed and was later taken into the Al-Amriya hospital.
It was later revealed that the manager died due to a heart attack.
El-Selhedar was the previous interim manager for Egyptian top-flight club Ismaily for two seasons during the 2019/20 season. The same team that he played for as a player, and has had several titles with, including winning the Egyptian Premier League as well as the Egypt Cup crowns, per KingFut.
