Elizabeth Banks was born Elizabeth Irene Mitchell on 10 February 1974 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
She is an American actress and producer. Banks played baseball and rode horses.
She was raised a catholic but had to partially convert to her husband’s religion, Judaism.
While in high school at Pittsfield High School was a member of the Massachusetts Junior Classical League.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude.
Banks also has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theatre.
She made her film debut in Surrender Dorothy, an independent film that was made in 1998.
Banks has a production company called Brownstone Productions with her now husband.
She has been nominated for several awards over the years; she has won a handful of them.
