Emmylou Harris Health: What Happened To Emmylou Harris?

Singer, songwriter and musician, Emmylou Harris was born on 2 April 1947 who has won as many as 14 Grammys, the Polar Music Prize and is an inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

She was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys in 2018.

Harris has been married thrice and has two grandchildren. She went to University of North Carolina to study music.

Emmylou dropped out of school and moved to New York City to chase her musical dreams.

While in New York City, Harris worked as a waitress to keep body and soul together while she sang folk songs in Greenwich Village.

Her body of work includes her working as a singer-songwriter, backing vocalist, duet partner, bandleader, solo artist and interpreter of the works of other composers.

It was reported a couple of years ago that she pulled out of a scheduled tour due to an undisclosed illness, but she now seems to be living a healthy life.

She has recently praised by fellow musician Linda Ronstadts for her immense support when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
