Ex-Ghana Captain Stephen Appiah Visits The Legendary Abedi Pele

Former Ghana Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah took time off his hectic schedule to visit Abedi Pele, the legend of Ghana.

The two former captains enjoyed time together while they reminisced their glorious playing careers.

Appiah as well as Abedi Pele are revered both by the people of Ghana for their significant contributions to Black Stars during their playing times.

Abedi Pele was a part of Ghana’s team which took home the nation’s final Africa Cup of Nation title in 1982. Appiah on the other side is the only Black Stars captain to qualify the four times African champions to the World Cup.

Both players captained the national team’s senior squad at various times during their careers.

Abedi Pele also is admired throughout the continent and has won the African player of the year three times.

In France, he is known as a hero of cult status by the Olympique Marseille fans, who helped them to win their first UEFA Champions League in 1993.

Meanwhile, Appiah is a toast of supporters in Turkey due to his legacy with Fenerbache as well as being a fan favourite for Italian big clubs Juventus.
