Former Ghana international forward, Razak Pimpong has made a donation of a set of footballs to the Accra Great Olympics of the Ghana Premier League.
In a statement on the club’s official Facebook page, it confirmed the donation and expressed profound gratitude to the former Black Stars midfielder.
The statement said the club thanks the son of the Dade family who is a former player of the club, the items donated were a set of football which was presented to the club at its training ground by the player’s older brother and some friends.
Accra Great Olympics is the club with which Razak Pimpong began his youth career before transferring to FC Midtjylland in Denmark to ply his trade. He feature in more than a century of matches for the Wolves in which he recorded 25 league goals.
He moved to Danish rivals F.C København in July 2005. He was a part of Ghana’s 2004 Olympic team which finished third in its group and exited the tournament in the first round.
Pimpong made ten appearances for the Black Stars and scored a goal, and was up-called for Ghana’s 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany.
