Former Ghana Midfielder Agyemang Badu Labels Fatawu Issahaku As The New Abedi Pele
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu believes teen sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is the Ghana’s next Abedi Pele.
The former Ghana international has been awestruck by the youngster talent and has predicted that he will develop into an outstanding footballer with Black Stars.
Fatawu Issahaku shot to prominence following his participation in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations, in which he was instrumental in helping Ghana win the competition and was deemed as the most important player.
The 17-year-old currently plays for Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League, and he has scored twice in two games.
“He is a wonderful chap, Very confident,” Agyemang Badu told Starr FM.
“I watched his game against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium, and he is an excellent player who has all the qualities. We just need to guide him well and if we do that, I think we are getting the new Abedi Pele in Ghana,” the China-based star added.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is currently with the Black Stars squad in their pursuit of the sole ticket in Group G for the play-offs in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
