Sir Francis Owen Garbett Williams CBE was a British businessman, racing car driver, and the founder of the Williams Formula One team.
He was the team principal from its foundation in 1977 until 2020. During that period, the team won nine constructors’ championships and seven drivers’ championships.

He used a wheelchair since the car accident in the South of France, on 8 March 1986, which rendered him tetraplegic.
