Ghanaian comic actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng well-known as Funny Face has added his voice to the ongoing controversy regarding the arrest of dancehall singer, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, also known as Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale was detained yesterday, October 19, by the Ghana police after his surrender, following an incident he staged about an incident of shooting at East Legon, causing fear and panic among his supporters and relatives.
His PR, Nana Dope, who was also arrested, made the announcement public by claiming that the artist was in the emergency ward and the suspects remain at large. As per the statement issued from Shatta Wale, the singer explained the whole incident as a shooting, saying he was scared for life due to a prophecy about the end of the world.
Then, Funny Face, who is currently in the grips of police because he allegedly threatened some people and his baby mama with the death penalty, has also joined in the ongoing fight. He praised his friend Shatta Wale, declaring that his brain was unstable, but when he’s freed from the prison everything will be in order.
