Ghana forward Andre Ayew says he will rate winning promotion with Swansea City among his top achievements.
Swansea face Brentford on Saturday for a place in next season’s English Premier League.
The 31-year-old bagged 17 goals as the Swans reach the play-offs final including the winner at Oakwell against Barnsley in the semifinal.
Ayew, who has been to the World Cup and scored in the Uefa Champions League during his time at Marseille insists earning promotion with Swansea will be an achievement he will savour forever.
“It would be among the tops,” said the Ghanaian ahead of the final on Saturday.
“I have grown to love the club and the fans and it would be a big achievement because it would prove I can do it at any level.
“I’ve followed a lot of players who have played at a really high level, come down to the Championship, and not succeeded.
“This has been a test to prove I can do it at any level and I’ve never doubted myself.
“In terms of me personally, this (promotion) would be very big. That’s the reason why I stayed with this team.”
