George DeLeone was an American football offensive line coach for Baylor University. Prior to joining the Temple staff as director of offensives from the year 2006 until 2007, DeLeone worked as an offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns.
DeLeone was once the head of coaching for Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) from 1976 until 1979, where he compiled a record of 15 victories and 24 loss. DeLeone served as a coordinator and assistant coach roles at Southern Connecticut, Rutgers, Holy Cross, Syracuse, Ole Miss, Temple, UConn and Baylor.
He spent four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins. He was a student at UConn as well as SCSU.
In 2021, the son of DeLeone, Mark, became the linebackers coach for the Detroit Lions. Mark DeLeone has been a defensive assistant coach in college football and the NFL since 2007.
