The Member of Parliament (MP) of Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has on live television disclosed that the Ghana Football Association has handed the Black Stars coaching job to Chris Hughton.
The MP who is an avid football fan made the revelation on Joy Prime’s morning show on Monday morning.
He said that the Black Stars coaching job has already been given to Chris Hughton because the people at the GFA want someone they can control.
Chris Hughton who is a former Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion manager is seeking to replace Otto Addo, who resigned after the 2022 FIFA World Cup to resume his work as a talent development coach with German giants Borussia Dortmund.
He worked as the technical advisor of the Black Stars technical team in the World Cup playoffs against Nigeria and also during the World Cup proper.
The Ghana Football Association has since last December been in search of a replacement for Otto Addo.
There are reports that the GFA has shortlisted Chris Hughton, Steve McClaren, and Hector Cuper for the job.
