GFA Vice President Mark Addo Lauds Chris Hughton’s Coaching Prowess

Ghanaian footballer administrator Mark Addo has praised Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, describing him as a fantastic manager.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager took charge of his first game as the new head trainer of the team against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers on Thursday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo came on as a late substitute and scored in the 96th minute to secure all three points for the home side.

After Ghana’s narrow win, Mr. Addo has praised the former Brighton and Newcastle boss.

In Mark Addo’s opinion, Hughton is a fantastic manager and will help improve the Black Stars.

He told Asempa FM that Chris Hughton is a fantastic manager.

We have worked with him and we know what he can offer as the head coach of the Black Stars, he added.

He concluded that Hughton played his first game yesterday and we believe there is more to come from him.

Ghana now sits on top of Group E with 7 points after three matches.

The return leg will come off on Monday 27 March at the Estádio 11 de Novembro with kick-off scheduled at 16:00GMT.
