Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor believes Andre Ayew made the right choice by moving to Qatari side Al Sadd.
The Black Stars captain joined the Qatari giants on a two year-deal with the option of extending for a further year after leaving Swansea City.
Ayew had attracted interests from clubs in England and other parts of Europe, but decided to join the team managed by former Barcelona midfielder Xavi Alonso.
Fans of the senior national team have not been happy with the move, but coach C.K trusts the judgement of his captain.
“Andre Ayew, the Black Stars captain who just moved to the Arab world. I believe in his judgment, I believe his father knows what is right and I trust them. It is an important move he has made and there is no doubt about that,” said C.K Akonnor in Accra during the announcement of his squad on Friday.
Andre Ayew has been named in the 30-man squad to face Ethiopia and South Africa in next month’s FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
