Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku has expressed his excitement after aiding Strasbourg to beat Auxerre in the French Ligue 1.
Alexander Djiku started and played the full hull of the game as his side beat Auxerre 2-0 on Sunday at the Stade de la Meinau.
The defender was very influential on the day as they manage to walk away with all three points at stake on the day.
Strasbourg took an early lead through Gerzino Nyamsi after only five minutes of play in the much-anticipated encounter.
They went into the halftime break with a goal advantage.
The home side increased their advantage after recess through Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo who scored at the 85th-minute mark to seal victory for Strasbourg.
Djiku took to his official Twitter account to celebrate the victory.
“3 points. A clean sheet, duty Accomplished Together” he tweeted.
The defender has been called up to the national team to face Angola in a doubleheader 2023 AFCON qualifying match.
