Ghana FA Admits Mohammed Kudus Might Miss 2021 AFCON Tournament

The Ghana Football Association has admitted that Mohammed Kudus might miss the 2021 AFCON tournament next month in Cameroon.

The Ghanian player picked up a rib injury while on international duty last month, but Ajax are reluctant to release the attacking midfielder who is recovering.

The Ghana FA are still in talks with the club to soften their stance and allow the midfielder to join the Black Stars for the tournament.

Only 13 players have reported so far in camp due to the extension of reporting date to from December 27 to January 3.

Players who have reported in camp so far includes, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Richard Attah, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Alexander Djiku, Gideon Mensah, Fatawu Issahaku, David Abagna Sandam, Maxwell Quaye, Mubarak Wakaso, Jonathan Mensah, Joseph Painstil, Benjamin Tetteh, and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom.
