Ghana Forward Andre Ayew Marks Full Nottingham Forest Debut In 2-1 Defeat To Newcastle

Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew started his first match for Nottingham Forest on Friday night as the team lost 2-1 to Newcastle United.

Andre Ayew joined Nottingham Forest during the winter transfer window after mutually terminating his contract with Qatari side Al-Sadd SC.

Ever since he joined the club, the experienced forward has only made substitute appearances. But today he got his chance to start for the first time.

Andre Ayew started in attack for Nottingham Forest on the matchday 28 clash with Newcastle United in the English Premier League.

Nottingham Forest took the lead on the day through an Emmanuel Dennis strike in the 26th minute of the game, after having produced an impressive display from the start.

Alexander Isak drew Newcastle United level just before the halftime break, as Nottingham Forest was unable to hold on to the lead.

Newcastle United sealed the 2-1 victory with an injury-time penalty spot kick thereby walking away with all three points.

Andre Ayew played for 79 minutes before being substituted for Sam Surridge to come on.
