Ghana Goalkeeper Richard Ofori Set To Miss Orlando Pirates Game Against Swallows FC Due To Injury

Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori is set to miss Orlando Pirates game against Swallows FC in the PSL on Sunday due to injury.

The Black Stars goalkeeper had to be taken off in the 75th-minute in Ghana’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against South Africa at the FnB Stadium in Johannesburg on Monday.

The Pirates goalkeeper injured his thigh after almost gifting Bafana Bafana a goal following his failure to collect an easy cross by Teboho Mokoena.

Ofori was then substituted as he couldn’t continue with the game, and his thigh was heavily strapped from what looked like a muscle pull.

Orlando Pirates medical team will have to work on the Ghana International ahead of the league game on Sunday against Swallows.

Should he fail to recover on time ahead of the Soweto derby they will have to rely on Wayne Sandilands or Siyabonga Mpontshane.
