Ghana Midfielder Mohammed Kudus Set To Ajax’s UCL Clash Against Besiktas

Ghana ace, Mohammed Kudus will be making his UEFA Champions League season debut tonight when Ajax host Besiktas at the Johan Cryuff Arena.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian returned from injury a fortnight ago, missing the 2021/22 UCL opener against Sporting Lisbon. A game the Dutch champions won 5-1.

Kudus has fully recovered and has already made two Dutch Eredivisie appearances this season, scoring a goal.

He is expected to make the squad this evening, although, he could start from the bench as he warms his way back in the starting eleven.

The ex-FC Nordsjaelland player is a key member of manager Erik Ten Haag’s side and will play a vital role in the club’s success this season.

Mohammed Kudus joined Ajax in the summer of 2020 but suffered his first major injury on his UEFA Champions League debut against Liverpool.

His returned strongly to help Ajax win the Dutch League and Cup double last season. He was also named the best U-21 player in Holland.
