Ghana Midfielder Salis Abdul Samed Reacts To Black Stars Hard-fought Victory Over Angola

Ghana forward Salis Abdul Samed has expressed his delight after Ghana’s narrow win over Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Stars left it late to secure all three points at stake in the first leg of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. This is the first victory the team has chalked after it lost its last competitive game to bitter rivals Uruguay at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana’s lone goal was scored by AFC Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo in the 96th minute of the match.

The RC Lens forward went on his social media page to express his happiness at the victory chalked by his side, he Tweeted that “First home game, First win”.

Ghana has already arrived in Luanda, Angola ahead of its second-leg clash with Angola tomorrow. With a win, the Black Stars will earn qualifications for the 2023 AFCON tournament with two games to spare.
