Ghana Remains 52nd In FIFA World Rankings

The Ghana Black Stars are unmoved as they sit at 52nd place globally in the December rankings, which were published by FIFA on Thursday.

Black Stars are also eighth in Africa This means that they will not be seeded for the 2022’s World Cup play-offs draw, which is scheduled for the month of January in 2022.

Since the ranking for November was released, Ghana has been involved in two games. They took on Ethiopia in addition to South Africa, both crucial games during their World Cup qualifiers.

They ended up drawing 1-1 with Ethiopia, however they were able to advance to the next round by securing an impressive win against South Africa in Cape Coast with a penalty scored captain Andre Ayew.

The team will begin preparations this weekend in Doha, Qatar
for the 2021’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Milovan Rajevac and his boys will camp for 3 weeks before flying to Cameroon for the AFCON.

Black Stars will face Morocco, Gabon, and Comoros in the group stage of the contest, which will run from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
