Abdul Majeed Waris is using his own money to do what some politicians are refusing to do with Ghanaians tax money as he has come to the aid of his hometown folks over the poor state of their road.
Communities around Lamashegu in Tamale have been complaining bitterly over how bad their road is, and the 29-year-old Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Strasbourg and the Ghanaian national team has heard their cries by paying a contractor to grade the road for them.
Photos of the ongoing work were shared by Saddick Adams, also known as Sports Obama, on his Twitter handle.
Tamale online reports that Ghana and @RCSA striker Abdul Majeed Waris is funding the grading of this road in Tamale (Lamashegu).
Locals had bitterly complained about the poor nature of the road and the striker who saw their pleas online decided to come to the rescue. 👏 👏 pic.twitter.com/qxPjwtBv9T
