Black Stars forward, Joseph Paintsil once again put up a sterling performance for KRC Genk on Friday night as he scored to earn a point for the team in the 1-1 draw against Cercle Brugge.
In a closely fought contest where the two sides went at each other, Joseph Paintsil earned his side a crucial point in the Belgian Pro League when he scored his 12th goal of the season.
The game was a matchday 30 clash, which saw Cercle Brugge open the scoring on the day through Ayase Ueda in the 40th minute.
Brugge held onto their lead going into the break, however, after the break, KRC Genk got back into the game in the second half.
Joseph Paintsil drew parity for his side in the 54th minute with a fine strike for the away side.
Ghana forward played the full hull of the match for his team in the clash against Cercle Brugge.
Paintsil’s goal today brings his tally to 12 goals and 11 assists in the Belgian Pro League.
He has been called up for national team duties with Black Stars for their forthcoming clashes with Angola in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
