Ghana midfielder, Kamal Sowah featured in his match in this season’s UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
He played for Club Brugge today as they suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat away to Portuguese side SL Benfica.
The result of the match implies that the Ghana international and his colleagues have lost the round of 16 UEFA Championship League on an aggregate of 7-1.
The 7-1 aggregate defeat means Club Brugge has been knocked out of the Champions League and will now have to turn its attention to their local league.
The young Ghana international started in the midfield for his side but the team’s total output was not enough to earn it a win or qualification.
Kamal Sowah was replaced by Antonio Nusa after he had played for 75 minutes.
Also, Black Stars defender Dennis Odoi came on as a second-half substitute for Club Brugge in the match against Benfica.
It is very likely that the two Club Brugge players will be part of the Ghana squad to be named for the two-legged AFCON qualifiers against Angola.
