Ghanaian Defender Nasiru Moro Joins Swedish Side Örebro SK

Ghanaian defender Nasiru Moro has joined Swedish topflight side Orebro SK.

The 24-year-old former Accra Lions player signed a two-year deal with the club after leaving Croatian outfit HNK Gorica.

Moro arrives in Sweden after a good campaign with Orebro, where he played 26 times and scored a goal last season.

“It feels great to be here. I have talked to my friend Jiloan Hamad and heard nice things about the club. It is an exciting project underway here and it feels good to be a part of it. I look forward to meeting the club’s supporters and showing them what I stand for,” said the Ghanaian.

Orebro manager Axel Kjall expressed delight in the capture of the Ghanaian center back.

“We are happy to bring Moro here. He is a long and physically strong midfielder with good play and an ability to produce the ball. He is at a good age and comes with good experiences from a strong league,” he told the club’s website.

“Our assessment is that he will be able to directly add quality to our team, but also with a potential to develop and be an important cog in our journey forward.”

Moro has already started training with the club and he is expected to make his debut against Sirius on Monday, August 2, 2021.
