Ghana’s U-17 Side Black Starlets Set For UEFA Four-nation Tournament In Serbia

The Black Starlets of Ghana are set to compete in a four nations tournament in Serbia next month.

The Under-17 side will join Spain, Switzerland, and the host nation for the special UEFA tournament. The team is expected to travel out of the country for the tournament that is scheduled to start on 11 April soon.

The Karim Zito-led team is billed to play some friendly matches in Saudi Arabia before the tournament. The Black Starlets are currently in camp at Prampram where they are preparing and expecting two more players to join the team.

A GFA source told Graphic Sports that the Starlets have a four-nation tournament they are going to play in Serbia and that one is for those who were born in 2007, but just after the tournament next month, the group will be dissolved for a new set of Under-17 players born in 2008/2009.

It stated that they are in camp preparing for that tournament. They are going to Saudi Arabia and from there to Serbia for the tournament.

It has also been disclosed that this current side includes some players who had failed the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test before the U-17 African Youth Championship qualifiers.
