Black Stars goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott is available for selection on Thursday when the Black Stars take on Angola in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Wollacott picked an injury in training on Tuesday when the goalpost fell on him.
The Charlton Athletic goalkeeper’s injury disrupted the Black Stars training session and was attended to by the team’s medical team.
The Ghana Football Association consequently issued a statement that said the incident was nothing to worry about.
Jojo Wllacot will be available for training on Wednesday and will feature in Thursday’s game.
According to the GFA, goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott hobbled off during training on Tuesday evening after suffering a soft tissue contusion of the right big toe.
It went further to state that, the goalkeeper was immediately assessed by the medical team and given emergency treatment. Wollacott was later reassessed in the medical room at the team hotel and currently, there are no major medical worries since the player is almost pain-free.
The medical team would like to assure the football public that Wollacott will be available for selection as he has been cleared to train on Wednesday, the statement concluded.
Kickoff is at 4 pm.
