Gospel’s Kim Burrell to Minister Again After ‘Broke’ Sermon, Pastor Advising Her

Gospel singer Kim Burrell, who received criticism for making offensive remarks in church, will not resign; instead, she will resume her ministry after giving it serious thought and receiving advice from her pastor.

She feels that speaking to the congregation is her calling from God, so the reaction won’t stop her, Kim and Pastor Dr. Mike Freeman of Spirit of Faith Christian Center in Maryland told TMZ.

Rest assured, though, that Kim is aware that what she did over the weekend was wrong, and she claims that Pastor Freeman and others will take action to prevent a repeat.

Kim’s speech from the previous weekend, in which she called individuals “broke” and “ugly,” among other offensive terms, went viral. Even though she issued a written apology, most users on social media didn’t believe Kim when she claimed the comments were made in “jest.”
