A woman of many talents, Caroline Mary Jones is a renowned social commentator, television and radio journalist and media personality from Australia.
She had had a career spanning over five decades.
Caroline was born on 1 January 1938. Jones was the first female reporter for This Day Tonight after joining the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
From 1972 to 1981, she was a presenter of Four Corners.
She became an ambassador for Reconciliation in 1998 after being appointed by the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation.
A decade, Caroline had worked with Aboriginal broadcasters at Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association to produce their first ever cultural and current affairs programs.
She has won lots of awards as a journalist and broadcaster. She was given an Honorary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) degree by the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2007.
