How Did Maggie Peterson Die?

Margaret Ann Peterson Mancuso was an American actress and singer who was best known for playing Charlene Darling on The Andy Griffith Show.

She also played the character of Doris in the episode “A Girl for Goober”.

Apart from the Andy Griffith Show, Peterson has also appeared on other TV shows like Love American Style, Green Acres, Gomer Pyle USMC, as well as The Odd Couple.

She was featured on an episode of Mayberry R.F.D. as Edna, a waitress in a cafe, as well as in the movie Return to Mayberry; as the innocent Rose Ellen in the 1969 film The Love God?, co-starring with Don Knotts; and in the film Angel in My Pocket in 1968.

Peterson landed a role as Susie, the coffee shop waitress on The Bill Dana Show, another spin-off from The Danny Thomas Show, which aired from September 1963 to January 1965.

Peterson was born into a musical family. While growing up in Colorado, Peterson has claimed that her earliest memories revolved around music.

Peterson along with her brother Jim along with two of Jim’s friends formed a small group known as the Ja-Da Quartet. They would ride around in the back of a pickup truck singing to people.

How Did Maggie Peterson Die?

The American actress and singer who was born on January 10, 1941, in Greeley, Colorado, United States, Peterson died on May 15, 2022, at the age of 81.

She died in her sleep, surrounded by family and friends. She had been in declining health for some time.
