Born on July 15, 1998, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, United States, Javorius Tykies Scott, known professionally as JayDaYoungan, was an American rapper and singer.
He was best known for his singles “23 Island”, “Elimination” and “Opps”, which have received 49, 27, and 26 million respective streams on SoundCloud as of November 2020.
The rapper released the mixtapes Forever 23 (2018), Endless Pain (2019), and his debut album Misunderstood (2019), which peaked at number 43 on the Billboard 200.
He was first exposed to the mainstream with his mixtapes Ruffwayy and The Real Jumpman 23, which included the tracks “Sliding Freestyle” and “Muddy Situation”.

JayDaYoungan died at the age of 24 after he was hospitalized for sustaining gunshot wounds following a shooting outside of his home.
A representative for the Bogalusa Police Department has revealed that the PD received a call just before six on Wednesday night regarding a shooting at a residence on Superior Ave.
According to police, one victim was taken to a nearby hospital by a bystander, while a critically injured person was treated by paramedics before being sent directly to the hospital.
Even though JayDaYoungan had made it to the hospital to undergo surgery, he lost the battle for his life shortly afterward as a result of the damage caused by the bullets.
According to online rumors, the second fatality is a close family member of the musician, possibly his father.
Police officials also believe that a second shooting that had taken place a few minutes after JDY’s shooting might be connected.
