Justin Bieber revealed that he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which can cause facial paralysis. The multi-Grammy winner says he is suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which affects nerves in the face through a shingles outbreak.

The Canadian singer revealed this to his fans via Instagram, where he looked very distressed about his health.

He told his fans that his recent diagnosis, a Ramsay Hunt syndrome, has been the major cause of his inability to show up and perform.

“It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear-my facial nerves-and has caused my face to have paralysis. So for those who are frustrated by my cancelations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them.”

He added that even though he is not sure of how long it will take to get his face back to normal, he trusts God and hopes everything will be fine.

“This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but, obviously, my body is telling me I gotta slow down. I’m gonna get better […] We don’t know how much time it’s gonna be, but it’s gonna be OK. And I have hope, and I trust God, and I trust that this is all for a reason; not sure what that is right now, but in the meantime, I’m gonna rest. I love you guys”
