Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud popularly known as MBS was born on 31 August 1985 to Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and his third spouse.
He is the crown prince, minister of defense of Saudi Arabia, and deputy prime minister. He is also the chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs and Council of Economic and Development Affairs.
Bin Salman at age 24 was a special advisor to his father when he was governor of Riyadh Province. He rose to become the secretary-general of the Riyadh Competitive Council.
On 21 June 2017 Bin Salman was appointed Crown Prince following the deposition of Muhammad bin Nayef. Prince Mohammed attended King Saud University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law.
He has also courted a lot of controversies; accused of behind the mastermind behind the killing of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

Mohammed bin Salman has one wife. He has been married since 2008 to Sara bint Mashour. The couple has five children together.
Sara and her husband are first cousins, and her parents are Mashour bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Noura bint Mohammed Saud Al Kabir.
