Ghanaian Gospel musician, Celestine Donkor is calling for support for her fellow musician, Piesie Esther in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Event organizers Charterhouse released its nominee list on Saturday 18 March, with Piesie Esther earning seven nominations.
Celestine Donkor who herself has been nominated in an award category with Piesie Esther stated that it is only fair for church people to put their support behind Piesie Esther so that she can scoop at least four awards.
The gospel artist’s reason for calling for support for her colleague is that she deserves to win because she has been a blessing to Christendom in the country.
She wrote that “this song is a blessing to the body of Christ. Let’s all arise and vote for her, ‘na nipa ye adea, ose ayeyi,” she said
Donkor further wrote that “SHE DESERVES ALL INCLUDING THE ULTIMATE. I call it done for her in Jesus’s name and all the saints shall say……… Amennnnnn with massive voting!!! VOTE!! VOTE!! VOTE!!,”.
The Vodafone Ghanan Music Award (VGMA) will come off on 13 May at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
