Segun Oni, a former governor of Ekiti, has refuted allegations that he is working for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The denial came in a statement released by his spokesperson, Jackson Adebayo over the weekend.
The former governor who stood on the ticket of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) parried allegations made by Oyetunde Ojo and South West Agenda, SWAGA.
He denied the claim of collaboration with ex-Governor Ayo Fayose to bring Tinubu’s presidential ambition to fruition.
Oni declared that he could not work for the former Lagos governor while labeling the accusations as a very dishonest and cheap lie.
The statement went further to disclose that Tinubu’s footprints “were so evident in the rigged last Ekiti governorship election, which was won by Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the ruling APC won the June 18 2022 election.
Oni alleged in his statement that, unlike Osun, his lawyers were not allowed access to inspect Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) machines in spite of the Tribunal’s orders on INEC twice.
He added that he is not an errand boy for politicians and cautioned that his tolerance should not be overstretched.
