The president of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed anxiety ahead of the 2024 elections, stating that he is worried the same mistakes will be repeated.
According to the President, Ghana could be more advanced and able to achieve its goal of change if the NPP continued to be in the government, however the NDC had the upper hand.
He blames Ghana’s historical regression on the late John Atta Mills and John Mahama’s administrations.
”I always say our situation in Ghana, if the NPP party had continued after President Kuffour, maybe Ghana would have realised the desired changes, but we didn’t have the opportunity to continue”.
”We continued the eight-year cycle. Mills and Mahama came as far as I am concerned, we went backwards again, and I have a fear that may happen again if we don’t win 2024 and that has given birth to the slogan break the eight,” he stated on Pure FM.
