Ibrahim Danlad Downplays Rivalry With Frederick Asare

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has stated that he is focused on the progress of the club rather than competing for the number one spot with teammate Frederick Asare.

Frederick Asare filled in for Danlad in the Ghana Premier League while he was away on national team duties with the Black Galaxies and Black Stars at the CHAN tournament and the World Cup which was held in Qatar.

In a post on his official Twitter handle, sort to dispel the notion that he was keen on competing for places with Frederick Asare.

He reiterated his position that he is at the club to contribute his best efforts to the team and that he is always ready to support Asare should the technical team consider him as a first-choice goalkeeper.

There have been calls by some supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for Frederick Asare to be made the first-choice goalkeeper.

Asare joined the Porcupine Warriors this season from Accra Lions and started the campaign as Danlad’s backup.
