American rapper, Meek Mill is begging Ghanaians to forgive him for his shortcomings after he received backlash for shooting his music video at the seat of the Ghanaian government.
The ‘All Eyes On You’ hitmaker become a subject of ridicule today after he shared a snippet of his upcoming music video which he shot the presidency here in Ghana during his visit.
Responding to the backlash, Meek Mill explained that he meant no disrespect to the people of Ghana. He revealed that he was only trying to connect the people of Ghana and his people throuhg music.
“My apologies to the people if any disrespect! We still gonna push to make the connection between black people in America and Africa … what I’m trying to do is more than a video and you should see coming soon! My apologies to the the office also!”
He added that he shot the video with only a small camera and did not disclose to authority at the Jubilee House that they intended to shoot a music video. He went on to explain that he is going to take full responsibilty of his actions.
“I don’t think they knew it was video footage when we asked to shoot its a small camera and one kid … in America we didn’t know this existed and was excited to show because they don’t show Ghana on our media much! So I’ll take responsibility for my mistake! Not intentional,” he added.
