Inaki Williams Needs Time To Excel In Black Stars – Derek Boateng

Former Black Stars midfielder Derek Boateng believes Inaki Williams, who is having a difficult time in front of goal for Ghana will need time to settle into the Black Stars team.

Inaki Williams is yet to score his first goal for the Black Stars after seven matches in the Ghana jersey and Ghanaians are gradually losing patience with him.

The Athletic Bilbao forward played in both legs of Ghana’s 2023 AFCON qualifiers doubleheader against Angola during the international break but did not put his name on the scoresheet.

Derek Boateng said in an interview that he thinks Inaki Williams and other players who switched nationality don’t understand Africa, they don’t know what is going on here, our style, and others, so, he thinks Inaki needs time but the question is if we can be patient with him.

He added that Ghana should not depend on those kinds of players because they don’t understand our style.
